Reich died in federal prison in 1957 after receiving a federal injunction barring the interstate distribution of orgone-related materials, on the grounds Reich and his associates were making false and mis-leading claims. A judge later ruled to jail Reich and ordered the banning and destruction of all orgone-related materials at his institute after the injunction was violated. Reich’s research was destroyed and he was never allowed to prove his research or results, even with many of his patients stepping forward to back up his claims. The unfortunate circumstances of Reich’s death did not stop his research however, and with the surge in electronic products that create and disrupt electro-magnetic fields, orgonite is arguably more important now , than ever before.
